Πρόγραμμα Μεταπτυχιακών Σπουδών "Διαχείριση Ψηφιακής Πληροφορίας – Υπηρεσίες Πληροφόρησης"

Το Τμήμα Αρχειονομίας, Βιβλιοθηκονομίας και Μουσειολογίας της Σχολής Επιστήμης της Πληροφορίας και Πληροφορικής του Ιονίου Πανεπιστημίου προσκαλεί όσους ενδιαφέρονται να υποβάλουν αίτηση για την ένταξή τους κατά το ακαδημαϊκό έτος 2018-2019 στο Πρόγραμμα Μεταπτυχιακών Σπουδών (ΠΜΣ) «Διαχείριση Ψηφιακής Πληροφορίας – Υπηρεσίες Πληροφόρησης, το οποίο οδηγεί σε Μεταπτυχιακό Δίπλωμα Μεταπτυχιακών Σπουδών (ΔΜΣ).

Το ΠΜΣ απονέμει Δίπλωμα Μεταπτυχιακών Σπουδών με τίτλο "Διαχείριση Ψηφιακής Πληροφορίας   Υπηρεσίες πληροφόρησης" (τίτλος στα αγγλικά: Master of Science, Digital Information Management- Information Services).

Στο προτεινόμενο ΠΜΣ θα γίνονται δεκτοί (α) πτυχιούχοι του Τμήματος Αρχειονομίας, Βιβλιοθηκονομίας και Μουσειολογίας (ΤΑΒΜ) του Ιονίου Πανεπιστημίου, (β) πτυχιούχοι ομολόγων και ισοτίμων προς το ΤΑΒΜ της ημεδαπής και αλλοδαπής, εφόσον κατέχουν την ελληνική γλώσσα (γ) πτυχιούχοι των ΤΕΙ Βιβλιοθηκονομίας της ημεδαπής και πτυχιούχοι ομολόγων και ισοτίμων προς τα τμήματα ΤΕΙ Βιβλιοθηκονομίας σχολών της αλλοδαπής, εφόσον κατέχουν την ελληνική γλώσσα και (δ) πτυχιούχοι Πανεπιστημιακών Σχολών ή Τμημάτων Πληροφορικής και θετικών ή κοινωνικών επιστημών που σχετίζονται με τη διαχείριση της πληροφορίας και την ανάπτυξη πληροφοριακών συστημάτων.

Η χρονική διάρκεια σπουδών για την απονομή του Μεταπτυχιακού Διπλώματος Ειδίκευσης (Μ.Δ.Ε.) ορίζεται σε τρία (3) διδακτικά εξάμηνα.

THE SERPENTINE GALLERIES
‘From Institution to Platform: Organisational Structures and Arts Practices in Network Cultures’
This is a three-year funded, full-time PhD bursary for a collaborative doctorate between The Serpentine Galleries and the Centre for the Study of the Networked Image in the School of Arts and Creative Industries at London South Bank University.

The Project
The Serpentine Galleries in London is one of the world’s foremost contemporary art and architecture institutions,which is in the process of developing a digital strategy within its organisation. One problem the Serpentine has identified is a lack of capacity for the arts to influence the direction of new technologies because organisational networks, through which new ways of thinking about the future of the arts can travel and flourish, remain nascent. One of the overarching issues for the research would be to identify the barriers to greater art and technology cooperation at the institutional level and to identify practices which could act as catalysts for future cooperation on an inter-institutional level.
The person appointed will undertake a three year full time research project, with either a practice-based or discursive methodology involving fieldwork at the Serpentine Galleries, leading to the
submission of a thesis/portfolio submission in 2021.

The Research
We welcome expressions of interest and proposals from suitably qualified persons for a research project which supports the Serpentine’s need to understand how its emerging digital strategy can
learn from the digital strategies pursued in the public arts field over the last decade and how might it enmesh with and impact upon public policy and practice. Further we welcome research which asks how R&D functions within the arts/institutional space, and what are its precedents in the fields of both art and computer science.
The research is interested in the following questions:
-What might cultural distribution look like within the framework of digital curatorial practice/production and digital/networked art practices?
-What does an audience for contemporary art look like in a distributed system?
-What role might artists and cultural practitioners play in the early
stage development of advanced technologies?

Potential Financial Support for Installing High-speed WiFi in Libraries

IFLA participates on the WiFi4EU programme. This is an initiative of the European Commission which promises to expand significantly access to public WiFi around the European Union, with a budget of €120 million. Libraries are explicitly mentioned as beneficiaries.
