Job Description:

Subject: Librarian

 

Duties:

•  Classification, cataloging and computerization of library material.

•  Organization and maintenance of the Library material.

•  Serving and guiding students and staff regarding the selection of material for loan, renewal and return.

•  Training and guiding students and staff using various databases as well as the E.D.S. online platform.

•  Performing any other duties assigned to him/her by the Directorate.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Education:

·         Librarianship Degree

·         Diploma of a Recognized School of Secondary Education.

·         Excellent computer knowledge.

·         Integrity of character, responsibility, initiative and integrity.

Work experience: At least two years of working experience related to the duties of the position will be an advantage.

Language: Very good knowledge of Greek and English.

Other Skills:

Excellent knowledge of automated library systems mainly KOHA

Salary and benefits:

The salary will be analogous to any prior record and experience. A generous budget for conference attendance, research support and access to scientific databases is available.
